About Kirsty Maidment:

Kirsty has been an animal lover her entire life being brought up with animals since she was a baby. She has owned a wide variety of animals over the years including dogs, cats, ponies, horses, rats, mice, sheep and even snails. She has 25 years experience in owning and competing with horses and ponies (showing, show jumping, cross country and long distance riding), and even went to the USA to teach horse riding to Girl Scouts. She sadly lost her best friend Oliver at the end of 2010, he was a 32 year old Appaloosa x TB who she had owned for over 18 years, as well as other horses and ponies before him and along the way. Her stable management is excellent, and she really does have a passion for giving horses and ponies the best care possible.
 
Kirsty recently was running her own business as a freelance PA, but after taking a break to look after the children she was looking for a new business oppportunity and her love of animals brought her to become the franchisee for Plymouth Pet Sitters. She has worked in the past in both hospitality and retail, which although she enjoys her passion is working with animals. Kirsty is currently a volunteer with Hospital Radio Plymouth.
 
She has two cats at home; Jack, who came from the dogs and cats home in 2002, and Splodge who is a rather nutty and very friendly little female cat born in 2009. Although she doesn't currently own a dog she has had many over the years including German Shepherds, a Rottweiler, a Border Collie and a Bullmastiff, so she has a wide variety of experience with dogs, even with one of her dogs having a litter of puppies. Kirsty enjoys going out on interesting walks, and likes to discover new places to go.
 
Kirsty is police checked and fully insured. She will offer the best care for your pet, as if it was one of her own.
